In the world of interior design, Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign has become a highly anticipated event, drawing design enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. Tangram were therefore extremely excited to be attending this Danish design fair for the first time. Join us as we delve into the highlights of our trip and explore the exceptional creations from esteemed brands such as Flos, Vitra, Warm Nordic, Carl Hansen & Son, and many more.
Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign
Flos, the iconic Italian lighting brand, captivated visitors with their innovative and stunning designs. Their collection showcased a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, as seen in the sleek lines and intricate detailing of their lighting fixtures. Noteworthy pieces included their Ceramique and Bilboquet collections – both of which have just been released and both of which effortlessly combine contemporary style with quirky charm!

Their furniture and lighting pieces, inspired by mid-century modern design, never fail to disappoint. We loved seeing some of their recent designs including the Basket Collection, Doric Coffee tables and Daumiller Armchair. But on top of this we were very excited to witness a number of furniture and lighting products that are yet to be released (the names of which we are sure will be revealed in coming weeks!)

We particularly enjoyed seeing their new Gemal pendants as well as extensions to existing ranges such as the Kuyu Collection. With it’s sculptural appeal (the collection has taken inspiration from African masks) Kuyu now includes a desk and console in addition to the coffee and dining tables that were released just last year.

Their collection features sleek and contemporary pieces that offer both style and practicality, catering to various needs and environments. New to their collection, and a particular favourite of ours, was the Scene Bench System. The modular bench is available with various backrests to suit different needs and requirements. Once again, Plus Halle showcased their commitment to creating spaces that inspire productivity and foster creativity. We are excited to continue specifying their delightful designs in our future projects.

The brand emphasises simplicity, functionality, and organic shapes in every piece. We adored viewing their current collection as well as discovering all that is new. In an exclusive launch for 3daysofdesigns, and in collaboration with the world-renowned designer Alfredo Haeberli, Warm Nordic released six new colours for their iconic Fried Egg Lounge Chair and Gesture Dining Chair.

The collaboration seamlessly blended Vitra’s expertise in innovative furniture design with Royal Copenhagen’s porcelain heritage. The pieces featured intricate porcelain detailing, meticulously crafted by Royal Copenhagen’s skilled artisans, while Vitra’s iconic furniture silhouettes provided a sleek and functional backdrop.
Vitra & Royal Copenhagen Our final stop was with Mater Design, a brand who made a great impact on our time at 3daysofdesign. They presented their exceptional collection that seamlessly merges sustainability, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. The Danish brand showcased their commitment to responsible production by utilising recycled and ethically sourced materials in their creations. Mater’s design philosophy revolves around creating objects with a purpose, marrying functionality with aesthetic beauty. We were captivated by Mater’s innovative use of materials, such as reclaimed wood, coffee waste, and recycled plastics and came home determined to specify these products at every available opportunity!
